Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities:

1. Assume responsibility to answer all incoming telephone calls with the object of securing the necessary information from customers

2. Greet and assist customers

3. Run daily reports and complete in a timely fashion

4. Ensure filing is correct

5. Assist in resolving any administrative problems

6. Respond to customers inquiries

7. Assist with quotes to customers

8. Ensure that all orders and related paperwork are prepared in a timely fashion for billing

9. Process incoming paperwork

10. Work on any other administrative tasks as deemed necessary

Requirements, Skills, and Experience:

1. High School diploma or higher education degree preferred but not required

2. 1 to 2 years+ of previous office experience

3. Proven track record of being on time and dependable

4. Sharp typing skills

5. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and support skills

6. Able to use all related software - MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

7. Takes accountability/responsibility for tasks and actions

8. Clear attention to detail

9. Extreme organization skills

10. Firm ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

11. Strong ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

12. Ability to prioritize projects

13. Powerful problem-solving skills

14. Capable of working independently as-well-as be a team player when situations arise

15. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Administrative Assistant (Database)

Responsibilities:

1. Assume full responsibility of answering all incoming telephone calls and emails with the object of securing the necessary information from field-service technicians worldwide

2. Complete in a timely scheduled fashion daily and monthly reports

3. Communicate internally/externally with all field-service technicians inquiries or issues

4. Coordinate shipment of equipment to field technicians

5. Ensure that all equipment and related paperwork are prepared in a timely fashion for billing

6. Enter returned equipment into proper databases on scheduled dates

7. Work on any other administrative tasks as deemed necessary

8. Insure all company policies and procedures are followed

9. Ensure filing is current and correct

10. Greet and assist customers

Entry Level Metrologist

Position Summary:

The Entry Level Metrologist will learn and follow BIS documented policies and procedures under the supervision of a Certified Level 1, 2, or 3 Metrologist to perform calibration and repair in-house and/or on-site on various measurement and test equipment in the Accoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Microwave/RF, Fluid, Flow, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamic, and Time/Frequency disciplines to ensure equipment measurement accuracy.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform calibration in-house and/or on-site on various measurement and test equipment in one or more of the following disciplines: Accoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical, Microwave/RF, Fluid, Flow, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamic, and Time/Frequency.

2. Diagnose and repair various measurement and test equipment.

3. Perform tasks associated with calibration such as ordering parts, issuing purchase orders, and interacting with customers.

4. Determine whether various measurement and test equipment meet tolerance specifications.

5. Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust equipment to meet tolerance specifications.

6. Determine measurement uncertainty, test uncertainty ratios, and guard banding as part of verification process.

7. Create and issue calibration certificates to customer with aquired data and findings.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent

2. Some College and/or Technical Programs (preferable)

3. Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and/or ANSI/NCSL Z540 (preferable)

4. Basic computer skills

5. Proficient in use of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook

6. Ability to perform basic math and algebra functions

7. Strong attention to details

Physical Demands:

1. Sitting for long periods of time

2. Lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
